A very rare and unusual 6 bore muzzle loading hammer shotgun manufactured in 1839 by the highly regarded English maker, Westley Richards. The 36″ beautifully patterned Damascus barrel is in excellent original condition, still carrying its full length brass capped ram rod. Attractive scroll and Gamescene engraving adorns the action, hammer, trigger guard and flash pan. Its straight hand Walnut stock is attractively grained with the original metal heel plate. The gun comes complete with made to measure makers leather case, shot and powder flasks and associated loading accessories. A wonderful addition to any wildfowling enthusiast or large bore collector.
